Frequently Asked Questions
General
What is SnapdMe?
SnapdMe is an event photo sharing platform that uses facial recognition to help guests instantly find and download their own photos from events like weddings, conferences, and sports days.
Do guests need to create an account?
No. Guests only need the event link or QR code. No sign-up or app download required.
What types of events is SnapdMe suited for?
Any event where photos are taken and need to be distributed to attendees — weddings, corporate events, school sports days, conferences, parties, and more.
For Organizers
How many photos can I upload?
Free accounts support up to 200 photos per event. Pro accounts support unlimited photos. See Uploading Photos for details.
Can I add photos after the event has started?
Yes. You can upload additional photos to an active event at any time. New photos are processed and indexed automatically.
Can I restrict who accesses my event?
Yes. You can password-protect your event or set an expiry date on the guest link. See Setting Up an Event.
How do I share the event with guests?
Via the guest link, QR code, or WhatsApp share button. See Sharing with Guests.
For Guests
What if facial recognition doesn't find all my photos?
Try retaking your selfie in better lighting with your face clearly visible. You can also browse the full event gallery manually.
Are my photos stored by SnapdMe?
Your selfie is not stored after matching. Event photos are stored on behalf of the organizer and deleted when the event is archived or deleted.
Can other guests see my photos?
No. Each guest only sees photos matched to their own face.
The event link isn't working — what should I do?
The organizer may have set an expiry date on the event, or the event may have been archived. Contact the event organizer directly.
Privacy
How is my facial data used?
Your selfie is used only to find matching photos in the event gallery. It is not stored, shared, or used for any other purpose. See How Facial Recognition Works.
Is SnapdMe GDPR compliant?
Yes. SnapdMe processes facial data only with the guest's active consent (taking the selfie) and does not retain it beyond the matching operation.
